What this scheme funds
This scheme gives non-repayable grants to help cover commercial rent costs for small businesses opening a new shop or activity in vacant premises in Ferrara's historic city centre. Businesses can get money upfront (against a bank/insurance guarantee) to help pay rent, provided they stay open for at least 12 months and report their spending. It targets specific retail and craft sectors and is meant to bring vacant storefronts back into use.
